28-year-old Russian midfielder Anton Miranchuk, who plays for the Moscow football club Lokomotiv, gave “in principle consent” to move to Istanbul Besiktas, the Turkish publication reports Sabah.

According to Turkish journalists, negotiations between Anton Miranchuk and Besiktas are now “at an advanced stage.” However, as Sabah notes, the parties have significant disagreements regarding the player’s possible salary.

It is clarified that Anton Miranchuk requested a salary of €3 million per year – this amount is much higher than what the club is willing to pay the midfielder. Negotiations on this matter are currently ongoing. At the same time, according to Sabah, the midfielder has already rejected Lokomotiv’s offer to extend the current contract with the club.

Anton Miranchuk himself and his agent, as well as representatives of Lokomotiv, have not yet commented on the information about the player’s possible imminent transfer to the Turkish Besiktas.

Anton Miranchuk has been playing for the capital’s Lokomotiv since 2017. This season of the Russian Premier League, the footballer played 17 games for the railway workers, in which he scored two goals and three assists. Anton Miranchuk’s brother Alexey also previously played for Lokomotiv, now he plays for the Italian football club Atalanta.
