Lokomotiv completed the away series with a meeting with Lada Tolyatti. The meeting in Tolyatti was dynamic, but not too tense. In goal, instead of the skilled Isaev or Bocharov, coach Igor Nikitin chose the beginner Sergei Murashov. And in general, the lineup for the game was announced, although proven, but quite youthful.

The home team opened the scoring in the first period of the game. The goal was scored at even strength. They managed to equalize the score only in the second period. Georgy Ivanov masterfully “corrected” Nikita Kiryanov’s pass, sending the goal into the opponent’s net. A minute later, Makim Shalunov brought his team ahead in the score.

But before the end of the second period, the home team were able to equalize the score.

The third period did not bring any changes in the score. In overtime, we also failed to identify the strongest. And only in the shootout was Lokomotiv able to prove its advantage. The result of the meeting was 2-3, Lada scored points, and Lokomotiv retained its leading place in the KHL standings.

The next meeting will take place at the home Arena 2000, January 14.
