Litres confirmed the leak of user data

Litres group of companies confirmed in a comment to Interfax leaked user data, emphasizing that payment information is safe.

“We are aware of the leak, we are now checking the information and conducting an internal investigation to find out the reasons and assess the situation … All payment information is safe because we do not store users’ payment data,” they said.

At the same time, the group urged users to change the password from Litres, as well as from all services where the same or similar password was used. Roskomnadzor was notified of the leak, Litres added.

First about the leak earlier today informed Telegram channel “Information Leaks”. In total, according to him, a little more than 3 million lines leaked to the network, including 590,000 email addresses, hashed passwords, and the name / surname of a number of users. The most recent entry was added on August 3rd.

On August 2, the same Telegram channel reported that the UHG hacker group had published on the network the data of customers of the Podruzhka online store. Common information includes names, surnames, gender, phone numbers, email addresses, hashed passwords, dates of registration and last visit to the site. Roskomnadzor informedthat will verify this information.
