Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, during a meeting of the European Council in Brussels, criticized Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban because of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Nauseda’s words are quoted by the Lithuanian television and radio company LTR.
The head of Lithuania pointed out that it is inadmissible to shake hands with the Russian leader. Nauseda stressed that, for his part, he opposes any contacts with Putin.
Viktor Orban, in turn, previously stated that he was proud that Hungary managed to maintain ties with Russia, for which the Hungarian leader was called “Russia’s Trojan horse” in the European Union.
