Lithuanian authorities are beginning to confiscate cars with Russian license plates

The Lithuanian customs press service issued a statement saying that on Monday, March 11, the country’s authorities will begin confiscating vehicles with Russian license plates.

It is clarified that in order to avoid confiscation, the owners of such cars must re-register them with Lithuanian license plates or leave the country.

“The owners will be charged with violating the law (Article 515 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), which provides for a fine and confiscation of the car,” the press service of the Lithuanian customs reported.
