List of school Olympiads for the 2022/2023 academic year

The Ministry of Education has prepared a “List of Olympiads and intellectual creative competitions” for the next academic year. The list includes 622 intellectual competitions in which schoolchildren and college students can show their talents and demonstrate knowledge.

Of course, the most important Olympiad in this list is the All-Russian School Olympiad. The one who is its winner or prize-winner, according to the law on education, becomes a student in the chosen specialty. By tradition, the Olympiads from the list are divided into three levels according to difficulty and composition of participants.

For example, the most famous Olympiads for schoolchildren “Lomonosov” or “Conquer Sparrow Hills!” in most subjects belong to competitions of the first level. They give the right to their winners to enter the university without exams. And the winners, depending on the university, either enrollment out of competition, or 100 points in a specialized subject.

Engineering Olympiad for schoolchildren belongs to the competitions of the second level. The winners of this Olympiad can enter MEPhI, the Russian University of Transport, as well as some other universities in the country without exams, and the winners can get 100 points in specialized physics. The Moscow Olympiad for schoolchildren in some subjects and in some universities has the status of an Olympiad of the first level, in some – the second, and in some – the third. In a word, in order for applicants to understand the status of the Olympiad, they need to carefully study the order of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the rules for entering the university they have chosen.

The list of olympiads and intellectual creative competitions for the next year also includes competitions and olympiads in music, sports and arts, patriotic education, and professional skills. In particular, it included: the All-Russian Grand Olympiad “Art – Technology – Sport”, the All-Russian action “I am a Citizen of Russia”, the All-Russian Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence, the All-Russian Competition for Young Readers “Live Classics”, the Professional Interuniversity Competition “Pedagogical Debut”, IV Winter Spartakiad of Youth (junior) of Russia, All-Russian sports games for schoolchildren “Presidential sports games”.

Students with disabilities can take part, among other things, in the Abilympics professional skill competitions, the IV All-Russian Summer Spartakiad for the Disabled.
