Lipchanin set two records at the Russian Swimming Championships. The Russian Open Swimming Championship in the Masters category was held from 25 to 28 May in Obninsk.

More than a thousand people took part. Athletes from the Lipetsk Club of Veterans of Swimming (KVSP Lipetsk) fought for the victory from the Lipetsk Region.

Both records were set by Yuri Marenkov. He became a three-time champion and two-time record holder of Russia. In addition, the athlete for the first time fulfilled the standard of an international master of sports in the Masters category.

In total, the Lipchans won 5 gold medals, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals at the competition.
