Anime fashion has appeared
The demand for learning the languages of those countries with which Russia is deepening economic relations has begun to grow among residents of Moscow and the region. In addition, another trend has begun to be traced in the capital region: parents strive to ensure that their child knows mainly two languages: European and Eastern.
As it became known to “MK”, language schools do not note the outflow of students from English courses – it is still out of competition in popularity. But he is already on the heels of Chinese, after which come Hindi (common in northern India), Spanish, French, Bengali and Arabic.
According to free classifieds internet services, since May the number of vacancies for specialists with knowledge of Chinese in Moscow has doubled.
Employees of the Internet service noticed another interesting trend. Interest in Korean culture following the release of Squid Game, the spread of k-pop music, and the rise of anime has prompted a request to learn Korean.
“It is more difficult than English, but easier than Chinese,” says a teacher at one of the capital’s language schools. – Of the Asian ones, it seems to us the simplest, because there is an alphabet, but when a student begins to go deeper, he encounters many pitfalls. Even three years of intense study is not enough to learn it.
As for the state languages of the neighboring countries, despite the fact that many of our compatriots have moved to Georgia, Kazakhstan and Armenia, there is no request from clients to study these languages in linguistic centers. Apparently, people learn them mostly “with immersion” when they move. In addition, in these countries they perfectly understand Russian speech.
