Liksutov: “The full launch of the BCL unloaded the demanded metro stations”

The expectations of Muscovites and city authorities from the work of the Big Circle Metro Line, which was fully launched in March 2023, are coming true. According to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Transport Maxim Liksutov, many popular metro stations have significantly unloaded, because more and more passengers choose BKL for their trips.
The decrease in passenger traffic is recorded at the stations of the radial lines, where there is a transition to the Big Ring. So, for example, at the Sokolniki station of the Sokolnicheskaya line, the entrance became freer by 40%, and at the Kaluzhskaya station of the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line – by 30%. A 19% decrease in congestion is recorded on the Savelovskaya line of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line and on the Nizhegorodskaya line of the Moscow Central Circle. Aviamotornaya of the Kalinin line was unloaded by 18%.
“The Big Circle Line, which was built under the personal supervision of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, offers many new options for getting around the city. More and more Muscovites prefer to build routes through the BKL. Already 23% freer on the Koltsevaya line, we also see unloading of other lines and stations: trips throughout the metro have become more comfortable, ”said Maxim Liksutov.
