The grandiose metropolitan project – the Big Circle Metro Line – has opened in full. From March 1, 2023, all sections and all stations of the route are open. Various surprises contributed to the festive atmosphere of the opening, such as a wedding, which for the first time in the history of the capital’s public transport was played right on the Moscow 2020 train moving along the BKL.
The guests of the wedding were not only friends and relatives of the newlyweds, but also ordinary passengers. Mendelssohn’s wedding march sounded. The ceremony took place during a trip along the BKL from the depot to the Varshavskaya station.
In addition, the newlyweds Ekaterina and Alexander were given an excursion to the Zamoskvoretskoye depot. “Congratulations to the married couple, we wish you happiness and well-being,” Deputy Moscow Mayor in the Moscow Government for Transport Maxim Liksutov.
It was the first time a wedding was played in a moving train, but Moscow transport has been participating in the project of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin “New Addresses of Happiness” for the third year already.
You can apply for a wedding ceremony in interesting places in the capital or in wedding palaces on the mos.ru portal and public services. The list of offsite sites of the registry offices of Moscow for registering a marriage is on the project website. For all the time of its existence, 28 couples got married in the metropolitan metro alone.
