The Big Circle Line of the metropolitan metro is one of the most ambitious transport projects in Moscow and all of Russia. Immediately after its opening on March 1 by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, it became the “most-most”: 31 stations, 70 kilometers long, the longest circular subway line in the world. Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Transport Maxim Liksutov named several more record-breaking data related to the BCL.
According to him, more than 400,000 passengers watched the broadcast of the BCL opening on March 1. It was shown on more than 22.5 thousand screens that have appeared in recent years in modernized lobbies and subway passages, as well as in all new trains.
