“Let’s marry me!”: the morals of Iranian beauties shocked Russian tourists

A Russian tourist who recently visited Iran returned in shock: local women periodically offered him … to marry them! And, according to the vacationer, these were by no means poor people, tortured by poverty and wrapped in black rags, but luxurious beauties, imposingly sitting in restaurants in the most expensive area in the north of Tehran, where tourist groups usually dine.

What is this strange form of hospitality, we found out from the Iranians themselves.

The first Russian travelers, having discovered Iran for themselves, return, to put it mildly, in confusion – this is recognized by the tourism industries of both countries.

– Russian tourism to the Islamic Republic is still very young, and before that, mainly specialists were deeply interested in this country, – explains orientalist Elshad Huseynov. – The Russians know mostly not the facts, but the myths about Iran. And now they are crumbling.

But how can the strictness and inaccessibility of local women “collapse” if the unfortunate Makhsa Amini was “re-educated” just for a scarf that had fallen off her forehead so that her heart could not stand it? The 22-year-old girl, detained by the morality police, died suddenly after interrogation at the station. Or are our tourists confusing something?

– No, it was! – insists eyewitnesses from compatriots. – A girl comes up in a restaurant and speaks English, but would you like to become my husband? And after all, not some guest worker from a neighboring country, but a local beauty. I was already taken aback: here you have the most strict Islamic country in the world!

In the meantime, another of our compatriots, who also visited Iran quite recently and, apparently, also received a strange offer, suddenly became preoccupied with the “muta” procedure (temporary marriage in Islam – Arab.) for the entire Runet.

His “uncomfortable” questions to Iranian women would have remained unanswered if an Iranian emigrant from London had not suddenly appeared on Runet. She said that “mutu” in Iran is called “sige” and is used for “sinless” adultery or for the provision of sexual services. The interlocutor at the same time reminded the audience that she personally has shige on stream, an hour costs 450 pounds plus 100 pounds for the mullah who will conduct nikah (Muslim marriage ceremony). A sexy photo of the “enslaved” Iranian woman is attached: she is not only wearing a hijab, but not even a bra.

“Unfortunately, we are often judged by the behavior of emigrants,” a resident of Tehran answers the question about the moral character of her compatriots. “If they live in Europe or America and they have no relatives left in Iran who risk suffering because of their actions, then they can afford anything. And Iranians, like all people, are very different. Some are moral and some are not. And we also have escorts, just like you. But this does not mean that all Russians and Iranians are like that. And we have girls and women who, for some reason, are not married. Or divorced, whom decent grooms no longer take, except perhaps some kind of widower (to look after the children and run the household). And young women do not want to look after other people’s children, but to dress up, walk, spend money.

It turns out that “shige” among the Shiites was originally considered a “marriage for pleasure.” It can be concluded for any period, even for an hour, and at the same time solves many problems in one fell swoop.

“If a man takes a mistress, then at the conclusion of the “shige”, his conscience ceases to torment him that he entered into a relationship without marriage,” the Iranian woman explains. – Shige automatically terminates upon the expiration of the term in the contract, without any divorce, which is also important: divorce is a sin for the faithful. It is convenient that “shige” can be concluded by a married man, Sharia allows men to have several wives. A married woman cannot do this, but such people do not go to the mistresses of the rich or to sex services.

– So, in Iran, a night fairy approaches a client with the words “Let’s get married”?

– Yeah, sort of, that’s why tourists get scared. And our men have known this procedure for a long time, such ladies usually have everything set up. Somewhere nearby there is her assistant mullah, who in 5 minutes will issue a shige for an hour and issue a certificate. And even if someone “squeals”, and the morality police suddenly burst into the room where the couple retired, with a certificate of shige, no one risks anything. Our “fairies” are very cunning and much more expensive than our own in the West. Here, a man pays everyone – both her and the mullah, and also gives mahr – a gift given by the groom to the bride in Islam. It must be expensive, as it is for life.

– Even if the marriage is for an hour with a night butterfly ?!

– Yes, the man is not trying for her sake, but for the sake of his own conscience. And the fairies just use it. Usually mahr is jewelry, watches or branded handbags. But one should not think that shige exists only for debauchery. This is a very ancient and charitable custom – for example, for the elderly or widowed. The fact is that Sharia forbids a woman to be in the house of an outsider. That is, a widower cannot even take on an au pair or a nanny for children, and a woman, accordingly, can not get a job as a housekeeper. An elderly couple of lonely widowers cannot live in the same house, which is calmer and more economical, but they can’t play a big wedding, so they go for shige. The contract can specify not only the time, but also “the form of interaction between husband and wife.” There are shige, in which the wife undertakes only to run the household, and the man to give her money for this. There was a case when one applicant went to the house of a male tutor – an old professor who did not leave the house, as he was confined to a wheelchair. And even they had to conclude a shige, in which the husband was charged with only one duty – to teach his wife. And the wife – just listen to him.
