Leps proposed to be fined 10 million rubles for “antisocial behavior”

Former crime boss Alexander Morozov and head of a monastic-knightly order called the Brotherhood of Morozov – Chrysostom filed a lawsuit against singer and showman Grigory Leps for his “asocial behavior.” About it reported RIA Novosti agency with reference to information from the Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow.

Religious activist Morozov demands Leps pay 10 million rubles for “propaganda of antisocial behavior.” In his opinion, the singer earns money by using obscene language in public, and this offends the principles accepted in the Brotherhood of Frost – Chrysostom order. Based on the applicant’s claim, a conversation has been scheduled.

“The Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow received a statement of claim from a member of the religious group “Brotherhood of Morozov-Zlatoust” – A.I. Morozov. to Lepsveridze G.V. (known as Grigory Leps) and Google LLC,” said this government agency. “The court scheduled a hearing on the claim for November 3.” In addition to monetary compensation of 10 million rubles, the religious activist demanded that the singer “read the court decision in this case seven times publicly and out loud, with expression, observing punctuation marks, on the specified YouTube channels.”

It is known that this is not the first time Morozov has filed a lawsuit against a Russian celebrity. In May 2023, a religious activist filed a lawsuit against the domestic hip-hop artist Yegor Creed. The head of the order called “Brotherhood of Morozov – Chrysostom” demanded that his channel on the YouTube platform be closed and all videos removed from there.

Let us recall that a native of the Chelyabinsk region, Alexander Morozov, who was previously sentenced to 19 years in prison for banditry, extortion and contract killings, created the public organization “Trade Union “Brotherhood of Morozov – Zlatoust” in 2016. The purpose of her work was declared to be human rights activities. The creation of the organization occurred after Morozov returned to Zlatoust in connection with serving his sentence. At the same time, the monastic-knightly order of the same name was proclaimed, but not legally formalized. The union gained all-Russian fame by filing a lawsuit against the Moscow Domodedovo airport in favor of 298 residents of surrounding villages.
