The lawyer of the Bar Association of the Moscow Region (APMO) Elena Ponomareva today, July 6, was doused with green paint by an unknown person. Ms. Ponomareva believes that the attack is related to her work, informs APMO. Earlier, the lawyer received threats, in this regard, the AIPO plans to apply to the investigating authorities.
“An unknown man doused her with brilliant green at a public transport stop. As a result of the attack, the lawyer suffered bodily injuries, the retina of the eyes was damaged,” AMPO reports. Earlier, Elena Ponomareva received threats in instant messengers, to which photographs were attached, indicating that the lawyer was being followed, her car was poured with indelible paint. Appeal to law enforcement agencies on these facts did not bring any results, the AIPO notes.
Now the Council of the AIPO intends to appeal to the leadership of the investigating authorities with a demand to organize a thorough investigation of the crimes committed against the lawyer.
