Lavrov focused on the need for an early ceasefire to avoid an increase in the number of civilian casualties. He also said that it is necessary to increase the volume of humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip.
The Foreign Minister confirmed the position of Russia, which advocates a fair solution to the Palestinian problem “on the basis of an international legal framework, which involves the creation of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem, coexisting in peace and security with Israel.”
