The winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly began in Vienna. At the meeting, several delegates from Western countries made sharp attacks on Russia in connection with the situation in Ukraine, descending to non-parliamentary expressions. So, the Latvian deputy, who came to the meeting with the Ukrainian flag and spoke in an insulting tone against Russia, especially distinguished himself.
In response to this, Vice Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Pyotr Tolstoy called on the offending members of the OSCE PA to leave the meeting of its committee. The head of the Russian delegation recalled that the representatives of our country at the meeting “are rightfully present.”
“We will not tolerate direct insults against Russia, against our president,” Tolstoy said. “We will not allow the enemies of Russia to express it in this style,” Tolstoy said, inviting those “who want to offend” to leave the hall “along with their Ukrainian flags.”
