You wait for a joke and you get frankness, and nobility, and even credulity, sentimentality. And all in a second, without smearing on a plate. Here is such a person.

And Guzeeva? Until she is there. Unnatural, arrogant, but plays the simpleton. She still doesn’t know, she doesn’t feel to what extent it is worth keeping a distance with people wise in life, what share of lyricism to give out in grams … And in general, you need to do something with your face, because, despite all the beautiful words, it betrays an attitude … Maybe put on black glasses, like Nagiyev’s?

Larisa is not at ease. So let’s support her for once, redeem the artist in applause. It’s not her fault, she didn’t come here on her own. Well, don’t waste your talent.

He behaved, showed himself all these decades so sensitively, unfussy, like a gentleman, serving only his music. And what a cool, serious composer, a bright soul. Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev knew that this would happen, he had a premonition. Undoubtedly, he was ready for the curses of his compatriots.

He paid tribute to his predecessor, honored the memory, came to the memorial service. And only then did the universal curses subside, became more restrained. At least the propagandists had already chosen their expressions.

After all, we now have a trend: do not smear the first persons with black paint. Whether it’s Grozny, Stalin, Khrushchev, Pyotr or Boris Nikolaevich – do not touch with your hands, because if you hit one with a broken word, then the devil knows what you can get to. That is why a contemporary, the absolute opposite of Gorbachev, his complete antipode, came to the posthumous defense of Mikhail Sergeevich.

Now, let me say a few words, off the record, on my own behalf. I am an absolutely Soviet person, greatly yearning for the departed empire. But I am friends with my head and I understand that restoring the USSR is a big stupidity (I almost quote a classic).

According to my mind, I can tell you why my country fell apart, and I will put it on the shelves, and I will cry with you. But I will tell you, friends, that the time of Gorbachev’s glasnost and perestroika, these unfortunate 5 years are the happiest in my life. It was Gorbachev who made it clear how wonderful it is, how beautiful your personal choice can be.

Yes, Gorbachev did not really know, did not understand his country, people. I wanted change, but had no idea how. Only then is a country standing that, at the first wave of the breeze, at the open window of glasnost, fell mortally ill, cracked at the seams, fell apart?!

But as an Imperial, I managed to live in the ideal Soviet Union, even if only for a few years. It was still a great power, but what a free, thinking, searching one. All previously banned literature was published there, all harassed films were removed from the shelves. Once underground rock musicians performed there, exiled dissidents returned home, and Vysotsky received the State Prize (posthumously). It was the “Island of Crimea” with a size of 1/6 of the land, Aksenov’s dream and our dream.

But freedom remained, the boundless desire for it. Understanding that everything in this life depends on you, and not on an uncle with a big mustache or thick eyebrows. And that it is possible (yes, not for everyone and not always) just to get on a plane and see the world, other kingdom-states and enjoy the impressions.

We have something to compare. And for this hope that dies last, for the new, indescribable colors of life, for the horizons of life pushed to the limit, Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev bows low.
