The opening of the Russian Universal Combat Championship took place in the Murmansk Athletics Arena. This is the first time such a large-scale event in this sport has been held beyond the Arctic Circle, the government of the Kola Arctic region said.

More than 500 participants from 38 regions of the country, including guys from the LPR, will compete in two disciplines. The audience was greeted by Senator from the Murmansk region Tatyana Sakharova and regional Minister of Sports Svetlana Naumova.

At the beginning, students of the North Sea Cadet Corps performed a demonstration performance with carbines for the fighters, spectators and judges, and in the final – girls from the Kola Arctic rhythmic gymnastics team performed “Tenderness”.

Earlier it became known that the regional government invested 13.5 billion rubles in the development of sports. “MK in Murmansk” wrote that funding this year has increased 1.6 times.
