Large-scale competitions in Ivanovo will again unite the strongest kudo players in Russia

On September 23, the All-Russian Kudo competition will be held at the Palace of Team Sports for the prizes of two-time World Kudo Champion Edgar Kolyan.
The tournament is prestigious and has the status of a master’s. This means that holders of gold medals have the opportunity to receive a master’s degree and fulfill the standards of a candidate master of sports of Russia.
This year, 20 regions of the country and more than 500 men and women, boys and girls from 6 kyu and above in age categories from 12 to 17 years and 18+ will represent their athletes.
The winner will be determined by points or outright victory. In the team competition, the results are summed up based on the highest amount of points scored by all athletes.
The objectives of the competition are to identify the strongest and select athletes to prepare a sports reserve for participation in international competitions, to form a list of candidates for Russian national teams, to improve sportsmanship and to comply with ESK standards. Grand opening at 13:00. Preliminary matches start at 13:30.
As part of the competition, open training will be held for children 7–11 years old with qualifications from 9 to 5 kyu. Start 09:15.
The objectives of open training are to develop children’s sports, improve the skills of young athletes and prepare them for the practice of contact fights.
Entry to the competition is free (0+).
