Long-term COVID-19 disease can change the color of the legs in men. Limbs turn blue or turn purple. This conclusion was reached by researchers from Leeds. They published their results in the scientific journal Lancet.

In particular, the researchers describe a 33-year-old man who complained of discoloration of his legs and severe itching. This only happened when the patient was standing. As soon as he went to bed, everything returned to normal.

Previously, this patient was diagnosed with “long COVID”. Doctors came to the conclusion that against this background, disorders of the autonomic nervous system developed. As a treatment, he was prescribed the use of large amounts of fluid and salt. They also prescribed specialized gymnastics to strengthen the muscles of the legs.
