Kyrgyzstan plans to develop textbooks on the exact sciences, based on materials from the universities of Cambridge and Oxford. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the country Akylbek Japarov during a meeting to discuss the implementation of the law “On Education”. According to Japarov, the Akylman Presidential Lyceum is already successfully using this system in teaching.
The Prime Minister noted changes in the global concept of education, emphasizing that it is important for a modern teacher to be guided by the talents of students, apply an individual approach, teach information search and, most importantly, teach how to process data and create new knowledge.
At the moment, textbooks for schools in Kyrgyzstan are mainly based on Soviet and Russian textbooks. The transition to using materials from foreign universities involves updating the content of education in the country and adapting to modern trends in the global educational process.
