Kyrgyzstan will play a match with Iran – it is in the top 25 teams in the world

In the FIFA rankings, Iran ranked 24th out of 211 possible. For the Kyrgyz national team, this is a serious test, and it needs the support of the fans.

Kyrgyz “falcons” from the team “Ak Shumkar” will fight with the “Lions of Iran” for the right to reach the final of the tournament CAFA Nations Cup-2023. The Kyrgyz Football Union is calling on the people of Kyrgyzstan to come and cheer for the football players – they need support.

At a pre-match press conference, Stefan Tarkovich, the newly appointed head coach of the Kyrgyz national team, noted that Iran arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the tournament “with its strongest squad.” The Iranian team has already played the first match at the CAFA Nations Cup -2023. On June 13, she met with the Afghan national team and hit the Lions of Khorasan with a crushing score of 6: 1.

“Iranian players showed their game at the recent World Cup in Qatar. In the match against Afghanistan, they also showed their ambition and clearly dominated throughout the match. They created a sufficient number of scoring chances, of which they converted six. Iran is definitely in the group of the best Asian teams,” he said.

For the national team, this is a very serious opponent: in the April FIFA ranking, Iran ranked 24th out of 211 possible. Kyrgyzstan was only 96th in the ranking.
