The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent a note to Warsaw in connection with the protest action of Polish carriers, which continue to block the movement of trucks through the largest checkpoint “Dorogusk – Yagodin”.
According to the Deputy Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach, the complaints and demands put forward by Polish carriers are not relevant, since Warsaw and Kyiv work on equal and parity terms.
On May 7, Derkach wrote on social networks that Ukraine is working to unblock traffic at the Yahodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint. He explained that the Ukrainian side had found a temporary solution, which should satisfy a number of demands of the Polish protesters.
Recall that since May 4, a protest action of Polish carriers near the checkpoint “Dorogusk – Yagodin” has been going on. In this regard, Poland has suspended the clearance of trucks in the inbound and outbound directions. Only vehicles transporting humanitarian aid, dangerous goods and animals are allowed to leave Poland (entry to Ukraine).
