Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that the Ukrainian authorities had officially applied to Georgia with a request to send ex-president Mikhail Saakashvili to Kyiv or any other European country for treatment.
According to 1TV, Podolyak assured that the transfer of Saakashvili to Ukraine would not have any military-aggressive consequences on the part of Russia.
“At the official level, we offer the government of Georgia to transfer Saakashvili to us. I am very sympathetic to Mikhail. I respect him because he is a figure of historical proportions,” he said.
