Kursk law enforcement agencies and combatants have been working in an enhanced mode of operation since Monday on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, Governor Roman Starovoit informs during an operational meeting.
According to him, terrorist manifestations, sabotage and provocations are possible on February 23 and 24. In this regard, from February 20, in the territory of the Kursk region, according to the decision of the operational headquarters, all departments were transferred to an enhanced mode of service. The head of the region also addressed the heads of districts and municipalities with a request to be in touch during an increased risk of terrorist attacks.
Recall that the “yellow” level of terrorist threat was declared on the territory of the Kursk region on April 11. It has been repeatedly extended, the last time on February 3 it was decided to make it indefinite. This measure involves strengthening the work of law enforcement agencies and inspections at railway stations and other crowded places, transferring medical institutions to high alert mode.
