Kursk governor asked residents to install the Ministry of Emergency Situations application due to shelling

The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoyt, asked all residents of the region to install the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations application on their mobile devices due to the risk of missile danger in territories remote from the border with Ukraine.

“Emergency information about emergencies and dangerous phenomena will be quickly communicated through this service,” explained the head of the region in his Telegram channel. The application will also help you navigate and find information on how to act in case of incidents, call emergency services, and determine geolocation. Using it, you can read reminders and tips on safety at home and providing first aid to victims. Roman Starovoit noted that after installing the application in the settings, you must manually set the location region in order to receive correct notifications.

The governor also asked residents to refrain from discussing and publishing messages about the work of the Russian armed forces in the Kursk region.

The Kursk region, like other border regions of Russia, is regularly subjected to shelling and drone attacks from Ukraine. The region maintains a high level of terrorist threat and an average level of response. Today, January 30, shells fired from the territory of Ukraine damaged windows, roofs and facades in three households, as well as a passenger car in the village of Glushkovo in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region. The day before, in the village of Troitskoye, Korenevsky district, due to shelling was damaged power line, as well as two houses and a car.
