Two drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were intercepted by means of electronic warfare (EW) in the Kursk region, informed Governor of the region Roman Starovoit in his Telegram channel. One of the devices was marked with the symbols of the Ukrainian battalion “Azov” (recognized as a terrorist in Russia and banned).
“Two UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were planted today by EW forces in the Kursk region. One of them bears the symbols of the Azov Regiment, a terrorist organization banned in Russia,” he wrote.
In mid-July, a drone fell in Kurchatov, where the Kursk NPP is located, no one was injured as a result. Starovoit then reported that critical facilities were not damaged. The Kremlin, commenting on the incident, said that Russian air defense systems had demonstrated their effectiveness.
The Kursk region is regularly shelled by Ukraine. So, on August 6, the village of Kuliga, Rylsky district, came under shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which windows, roofs and facades of three households, as well as three windows in the school building, a tractor and a car were damaged. A high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat operates in the region indefinitely.
