The educational process in Kurgan schools from April 9 until further notice will be organized remotely. About it reported in the administration of the regional center.

As the mayor’s office clarifies, the transition to remote mode is associated with the evacuation of the population from areas at risk of flooding that began today, April 8. In addition, temporary accommodation centers are being set up in schools.

In the coming days, the flood situation is predicted to worsen in Kurgan and a number of municipal districts. As Governor Vadim Shumkov reported on the Telegram channel, the forecast is “rapidly deteriorating, water is arriving much more and faster,” the water level is predicted to be 11 m and higher.

“Everyone who lives in all settlements along the floodplain of the Tobol River, evacuate, do not wait for the water to come,” called on the head of the region. Today, April 8, a regional emergency regime was introduced in the Kurgan region.
