Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said in an interview with Welt that Ukrainians are buying candles and “preparing for the worst winter.”
Also, in a conversation with reporters, he made it clear that Ukraine no longer hopes for the transfer of long-range Taurus to Germany. “We are preparing for the worst winter in history,” he stressed, and “so we will close our eyes if we don’t get Taurus, but we get air defense systems.”
The minister added that Ukraine is trying to protect its power plants “as best as possible,” but overall the forecast is still very pessimistic.
