Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to Astana on November 9, reported press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
The Russian president will travel to Kazakhstan at the invitation of head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
“As part of the visit, it is planned to hold negotiations between the leaders of the two countries, during which current issues of the Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership will be discussed,” Tokayev’s press service said.
The leaders of the two countries will also take part in the XIX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, which will be held in Kostanay, via video conferencing.
The fact that Putin will visit Kazakhstan next week, reported formerly VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin in the TV program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin.”
The last time negotiations between the presidents of the two countries took place on October 7 at Putin’s residence in Novo-Ogarevo. Then they, together with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, launched the supply of Russian gas to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The Russian leader noted then that the country is open to international cooperation in the energy sector. According to him, the Russian Federation is aimed at meeting the fuel needs of partners from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as from other interested states.
