The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, commented on the statements of his British counterpart Ben Wallace about Ukraine’s insufficient gratitude for the assistance provided by the West.
Wallace said that Ukraine should be more grateful for the assistance provided. In response to this statement, President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was ready to thank Wallace every morning for helping Ukraine.
“I think it was an unfortunate misunderstanding on the part of the British minister. Actually, the Prime Minister of Britain (Rishi Sunak) himself refuted his minister and publicly said that he appreciates the gratitude of Ukraine, which is regularly voiced in various formats,” Kuleba said in an interview with Vadym Karpyak.
Kuleba stressed that there are no grounds to accuse Ukraine of ingratitude.
The Minister also pointed out that during the hostilities, the supply of weapons remains insufficient. He invited the UK to remain an important source of weapons for Ukraine.
