Three Moldovan ministers, including Interior Minister Anna Revenco, have resigned. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean at a briefing, transmits Interfax.
In addition to Revenko, Minister of Education and Innovation Anatolie Topala and Minister of Infrastructure Lilia Dabizha also resigned. Rechan did not name the reasons for their departure. He noted the merits of each of the ministers during their work in the government and thanked them for their work.
The prime minister added that on July 17 he would nominate candidates for new ministers to the President of the Republic, Maia Sandu.
Revenko resigned against the background incident with shooting at the Chisinau airport. On June 30, a citizen of Tajikistan opened fire after they refused to let him into Moldova. As a result, a border police officer and an airport security officer were killed. One passenger was also injured.
The attacker was neutralized, he was injured, and he was given medical assistance. The Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 278 of the Criminal Code – a terrorist act committed with the murder of several people. The shooter faces life imprisonment.
