Kuban weightlifters took second team place at the Cup of Russia

The Russian Weightlifting Cup ended in Grozny. The competition was quite successful for athletes from the Krasnodar Territory. The men’s team took the second place in the team standings, the women’s team took the fourth place.
In men, the most successful was the weight category up to 67 kilograms, where the first 2 places were taken by athletes from Sochi. In the heavyweight category over 109 kg, he took second place Anthony Savchuk from Krasnodar. His result is 400 kg (180 + 200). Sochinets Batyr Khatlyakov won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 81 kg. He showed in the biathlon 314 kg (141 + 173). In the weight category up to 55 kg, the third place went to Albert Arabyan from the Belorechensk region. He lifted 210 kg (98 +112) in the biathlon.
Gor Unanyan from Krasnodar (4th place, w/c 55 kg, result – 197 kg) and David Bedzhanyan (5th place, w/c up to 109 kg, result – 360 kg) got close to the podium.
The men’s national team of the region has 210 points, Moscow won (238), the third place belongs to the Kemerovo region (186).
The women’s team of the Krasnodar Territory has 3 silver medals. It was not possible to win against the Honored Master of Sports, two-time European champion Anastasia Romanova from Krasnodar. In the weight category up to 71 kg, she showed the result of 233 kg (108 + 125). She lost only 1 kg to the winner Zarina Gasanova. Krasnodar Anna Veizer (176 kg) took the 4th place here.
In the weight category up to 76 kg, silver won Ksenia Barakina from Kushchevsky district – 207 kg (97 + 110). In the category up to 87 kilograms, the composition won the silver award. Elena Kachaeva with a result of 205 kg (85 + 120). She lost 70 kg to the champion of the tournament titled Tatyana Kashirina, who set a number of Russian records
Also in the highest category over 87 kg, Violetta Grinchenko (193 kg) took fifth place.
In the team standings, Kuban women were ahead of the teams of Moscow, the Moscow Region and the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
