Kuban athletes brought home 11 medals from the Russian Championship

Athletes from the Krasnodar Territory replenished the region’s medal box with awards of various denominations at the national athletics championship. The competition took place in Moscow at the CSKA arena.
How reports official information portal of the regional administration, Valeria Moskvitina brought gold to our team in the women’s pentathlon. Representatives of Kuban also took silver in the 4×400 m relay. Bronze medals at the championship were won in the long jump by Ekaterina Levitskaya, and in the shot put by Natalya Troneva. Our guys also distinguished themselves in running over various distances. The winners of the Russian Championship awards were: Alexander Masyutenko, Matvey Gerasimov, Stepan Peregudov, Konstantin Plokhotnikov, Polina Tkach.
Based on the results of all competition days, the team of our region took second overall team place in terms of the number of awards, beating a very strong team from St. Petersburg in the overall standings.
