Ekaterina Koneva became the winner of the Memorial of N.G. Ozolin and V.M. Dyachkov. Competitions were held in Moscow. An athlete representing the Krasnodar Territory won the triple jump with a score of 14.00 meters. The other two medalists, Anastasia Belova and Angelina Yachmeneva, were significantly behind, showing the same result, 13.32 m.

Ekaterina Koneva is one of the leading triple jumpers in the country. She became the silver medalist of the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, the next year she won the World Indoor Championships, held in Poland.

In 2022 Koneva won at the Russian Championship in Cheboksary with a score of 14.41 m.

After the current competitions in Moscow, Koneva gave an interview to the press service of the All-Russian Athletics Federation.

– We came to Moscow from the SFD championship in Krasnodar. There I jumped 13.94 meters, and now I have added 6 centimeters. I will not say that this is a significant result. I would like it better. But in terms of health, not everything went as I would like. A little managed to heal the injury in the offseason, but not completely. I don’t want to guess about future starts. I just wanted to jump this winter, although I missed 2 previous winter seasons. The run is still unfinished. The winter season will smoothly flow into the summer. I do not plan high results in the winter, we will go through it in working mode.

Earlier in January 2023, teams from the Krasnodar Territory successfully spoke at the championship and championship of the Southern Federal District in athletics.
