Information appeared on the website of the Russian Ministry of Education that the head of the department, Sergei Kravtsov, discussed with the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, a republished history textbook for 10th graders. The meeting took place in Chechnya.
In addition, Kravtsov discussed the new edition of the textbook with the head of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Rashid Temrezov. The minister noted that the region is showing good results within the framework of the Education national project.
Earlier, the head of the Chechen parliament, Magomed Daudov, reported that a working group had been created from the leaders of the regions whose peoples were repressed during the Soviet era to agree on changes to the chapter of the new history textbook about repressed peoples.
