On April 17, the Presnensky Court of Moscow registered a lawsuit filed by Danila Kozlovsky against Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project. That asked The Prosecutor General’s Office will check the actor under the article on discrediting the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). In response, Mr. Kozlovsky filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation, RIA Novosti was told in court.
Mr. Borodin claimsthat Danila Kozlovsky spoke out against the military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. He also focused on the fact that the actor was leaving for the United States. Mr. Kozlovsky explained that his child lives in the United States, but he did not leave Russia for a long time, because he regularly plays here in the theater, and calls to go to protests, because of which he was offered to be tested for extremism, were taken out of context.
Vitaly Borodin has already applied several times to the Prosecutor General’s Office and other departments with a request to check Russian cultural figures on a number of administrative and criminal articles. In particular, he asked that checks be initiated regarding Leah Akhedzhakova, Alla Pugacheva, Semyon Slepakov (recognized as a foreign agent) , Diana Arbenina, Valeria Meladze.
