Kozhemyako requested a federal emergency regime for Primorye after a typhoon

Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako appealed to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Alexander Kurenkov with a request to introduce a state of emergency at the federal level in the region due to the scale of damage caused by super typhoon Hinnamnor. He announced this today, September 9, in his Telegram channel.
According to him, in the village of Kishinevka, Lazovsky district, the element claimed the life of a local resident. Big water in the Kievka River came at night and rose right before our eyes by more than one and a half meters. “Many houses were damaged. At a meeting with residents, he once again announced the support measures that we will provide. This applies to everyone who suffered from the passage of the typhoon,” the governor stressed.
Earlier, the authorities of Primorye reported 49 settlements cut off from road traffic. The state of emergency of an inter-municipal character at the regional level is already in effect in six municipal districts.
Typhoon Hinnamnor hit Primorye on Monday, September 5. The monthly norm of precipitation in half of the districts is exceeded by 50%. The showers stopped on Wednesday, September 7th.
