Kostroma Hiking: Hiking competitions were held in the Pavinsky district

The Kostroma Regional Committee for Physical Education and Sports reports that last weekend a competition in walking techniques was held in the Pavinsky district. Teams from the Pavinsky and Vokhomsky districts and individual representatives from the Oktyabrsky district took part in them. The competition among tourists was dedicated to the memory of Alexei Kuznetsov, a graduate of the Petropavlovsk Secondary School who died in the Chechen War.
The competition participants were required to use a map and compass to reach the camp as quickly as possible, set up tents in its place and prepare lunch.
In addition, already at the camp, the contestants were required to overcome an obstacle course, test their culinary skills in the “Robinson’s Kitchen” round, answer questions in a local history competition and sing their favorite song in chorus. All teams completed these tasks successfully and received diplomas as professional tourists.
