Director of the National Medical Research Center for Hematology (NMRC of Endocrinology) Natalya Mokrysheva in a conversation with the publication “Kommersant” reported that currently in Russia the availability of devices for continuous glucose monitoring, which were produced by the Irish-American company Medtronic, has decreased.
According to her, some components of these devices were included in the list of dual-use products, which was published by the government of the United States of America in May last year.
It is clarified that Medtroni must obtain a separate license in order to supply dual-use products.
Mokrysheva added that the Ministry of Health is now looking for alternative products. In particular, devices that are manufactured in China are checked.
