Klara Novikova explained the reason for the appearance of the Ukrainian flag at her concert

Only the lazy don’t discuss Klara Novikova’s solo concert in Moscow. During her performance, the comedian not only read monologues, but also talked about her childhood in Kiev, periodically spoke in English, and at some point the flag of Ukraine appeared in one of the images behind her. Klara Novikova assured MK correspondents: she didn’t even know about it.

“I didn’t show any flag of Ukraine,” Klara Borisovna assures. – I don’t have this in the concert! Who knows, maybe they gave me some kind of slide? My back is to the screen! What is this, my hall? I never have “screens” at my concert. During the rehearsal, I looked through all the slides that were offered to me. I didn’t see the flag there. And in general, for the first time I had a concert in this hall.

“Nobody did anything with malicious intent,” Klara Borisovna continues. – There were photographs of my favorite street in Kyiv! I told some stories from childhood, from youth. I lived in Kyiv, graduated from school there, and entered college. My parents are buried there, my passport says: place of birth – Kyiv. My friends live there! I can’t renounce my childhood.

– I had a wonderful concert, an enthusiastic audience that jumped up and shouted to me: “Bravo”! If you knew how the audience laughed and laughed. People came up to me and said that they were also from Ukraine. There are many people living here who, like me, were born there. At the same time, I have already lived here in Moscow for so many years – 50 years! I am very grateful to Russia and the fact that I took place here.
