Kiselev spoke about the contracts of Wagner PMC with the state for 858 billion rubles

The private military company Wagner, owned by businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, received more than 858 billion rubles under contracts concluded with the state, TV presenter Dmitry Kiselev said on the air of the Vesti Nedeli program on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

“It’s under a trillion. Under other contracts, Prigozhin’s holding Concord provided services worth 845 billion rubles. This does not mean that they have earned so much, but it still speaks of the scale of the business and the scale of ambitions, ” said He.

On June 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the content of the Wagner PMC was fully provided by the state – for the year the authorities paid the military company over 86 billion rubles. According to him, the owner of the Concord company (the holding company of the founder of PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin) earned 80 billion rubles from the state through Voentorg, supplying food and providing food services to the army.

On the night of June 24, an armed rebellion was attempted in Russia by Wagner PMC and its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin. In the evening, the Kremlin reported on the agreements reached with the founder of the PMC to de-escalate the situation, in which Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko played a key role.

On June 27, President Putin said that the Russian military had “virtually stopped the civil war.” The head of state noted that units of the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and special services during the events of June 24 ensured the reliable operation of “the most important control centers”, strategic facilities, as well as the security of border regions.
