For the first time, King Charles III of Great Britain broke his silence about his cancer diagnosis. Buckingham Palace released his statement.
The monarch wrote that he would like to express his most heartfelt gratitude for the many words of support and good wishes that he received in recent days. “Anyone affected by cancer knows that such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement. At the same time, Buckingham Palace denied previously published information about the discovery of prostate cancer in Charles III and noted that doctors had declared the presence of a “form of cancer.”
The monarch is expected to hold several private meetings in London next week. He will be in the UK capital for the day and will combine meetings with a visit to the doctor.
