Kindergarten parents convicted of bribes to educator: demanded money for admission

For each new family, the employee named different amounts.

A group of parents were accused of giving a bribe to an official on a large scale – mothers and fathers tried to arrange children in a kindergarten in the west of Moscow. The initiative came from an employee of the institution, who offered to enroll the child in a group for a fee.

As MK managed to find out, a serious scandal erupted in a kindergarten on Udaltsova Street. At least ten parents of pupils of this institution ended up in the dock for giving a bribe to the head teacher: this was the condition for enrolling a child in a group. The described events took place throughout 2021 according to approximately the same scenario. Mom or dad turned to the management of the institution with the question of how to arrange a child in the state garden. Since this department was considered in demand among the residents of the district due to its sports orientation, many children ended up at the end of the line, which did not suit their parents. Some had temporary registrations, which bosses said pushed the enrollment date even further.

However, the head caregiver set up a scheme in which the child could get into the kindergarten as a priority. Depending on the solvency of the parents, the employee announced the amount for which she agreed to add the child to the list of pupils in an accelerated format. So, the mother of a three-year-old boy was offered a place for 70,000 rubles. The woman requested 50,000 rubles from another married couple. Other parents were given much more serious amounts: 200,000 rubles and 350,000 rubles. One mother had to pay in foreign currency – 3,600 euros. After the transfer of money, the children were enrolled in the kindergarten without any problems.

When the scheme was revealed, criminal cases were opened against the parents. All the defendants confessed to the crime and repented of their deeds. The judge of the Nikulinsky District Court ordered everyone to pay a fine to the state. The larger the bribe, the greater the amount of the fine, the amounts ranged from 150,000 to 600,000 rubles. Parents were allowed to pay this money in installments.

The senior teacher will also appear before the court. The woman admitted that for a fee she helped speed up the process of enrolling children in a preschool institution.
