The candidate from the united Turkish opposition, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, promised to continue his opposition activities. He said this in his first speech after the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey.
“We will continue to fight until democracy in the true sense of the word is realized in our country,” he said, quoted by local media.
However, the politician did not say whether he admits defeat and whether he intends to challenge the results. But Kılıçdaroğlu called the recent election process “the most unfair in recent years.”
Recep Erdogan, meanwhile, is congratulated on his victory in the second round, including congratulations sent by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
