Khodakovsky showed the funeral of a fighter by football fans in the suburbs

The commander of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky, published a video on his Telegram channel, which showed the funeral of a football fan in the Moscow region.

The footage shows a coffin covered with a flag, as well as many people holding sparkling torches in their hands.

“Comrades are seeing off the last journey of the warrior of Light. Impressive,” Khodakovsky commented on the video.

The day before, he posted a post in which he wrote: “How little we know about people and how hastily we often judge.”

Khodakovsky said that the battalion went on an experiment and recruited volunteers “from a very peculiar environment – football ultras.”

It so happened, the Vostok commander said, “that as soon as the guys began to take up positions, the offensive unfolded, and they suffered their first losses.” At the same time, none of these volunteers “was going to go home” – on the contrary, their “motivation to stay and fight only intensified.”

Khodakovsky also noted that “point the finger” at any of the football fans in a peaceful environment – “at his small scars from other people’s teeth on the knuckles and his own teeth chipped from other people’s blows, as soon as the opinion is formed.” But these are, perhaps, “born warriors who are cramped in a peaceful shell,” and at the front they apparently “found more than just a means to throw out bad energy – here they found their meaning and their place.”
