Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexey Kuzmenkov, was again appointed to the post of Deputy Director of the Russian Guard. He held this position from 2019 until moving to the Ministry of Defense in 2023. This was announced by Russian State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein.

“The return of General Kuzmenkov to the Russian Guard means that he successfully completed his tasks. His transfer to the military department a year ago was initially planned as temporary,” the deputy wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to Mr. Khinshtein, Colonel General Kuzmenkov quickly established an alternative supply system for the Russian Guard in the special operation zone.

Alexey Kuzmenkov was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense, responsible for logistics of the RF Armed Forces, in April 2023.

Mr. Kuzmenkov graduated from the Volsk Higher Military School of Logistics in 1992 and until 2019 served in various positions in the logistics departments of the Russian Armed Forces.

New Deputy Minister of Defense for Logistics and Technical Support of the Russian Armed Forces appointed Lieutenant General Andrey Bulyga.
