Khimki appointed Andrey Talalaev as head coach

Andrei Talalaev has been appointed head coach of the Khimki football club. Previously, this post was held by Spartak Gogniev, and after his departure, the duties of the head coach were performed by Rinat Bilyaletdinov.

Andrey Talalaev has already headed Khimki from April 2019 to January 2020. The club played 33 matches with him, scored 20 victories, lost six times and drew seven times. The 50-year-old Talalaev also coached the Moscow clubs Torpedo and Spartak, the Samara Krylya Sovetov, and the Armenian Pyunik.
On April 3, Khimki announced the termination of the contract with Spartak Gogniev. He has been in charge of the club since September 2022.
The team occupies the penultimate place in the standings of the Russian Premier League (RPL), it has 13 points. On March 2, Khimki suffered the biggest defeat in its history in the RPL. The team lost to Krasnodar with a score of 0:6.
At the end of March, the management of Torpedo decided to terminate the employment contract with head coach Andrei Talalaev. For five months of work in the club, which is the undisputed outsider of the tournament, the 50-year-old specialist has not managed to achieve a turning point in the results. As head coach of the team was appointed Spaniard Josep Clotet.
