“Khimik” will play a control match against “Sokol”

The Khimik players from Dzerzhinsk continue preparing for the start of the spring part of the 2023-2024 season in the Silver Division of the Second League A. The team from Dzerzhinsk played in the Second League “B” in the fall and became a triumphant in group No. 2. The black-and-greens suffered only one defeat in 17 official matches, losing to opponents representing the reserve team of Zenit from St. Petersburg. In the remaining matches, Khimik played competently and scored a large number of points, which allowed them to become the champion in group No. 2 two rounds before the finish.
On February 22, the only representative of the Nizhny Novgorod region in the Second League “A” will have to play another control match. “Khimik” will test its strength against the background of Saratov “Sokol”, playing in the First League. A year ago, “Sokol” played in group No. 3 and became its winner. Now the Saratov team is in the relegation zone in the First League, but poses a threat to a team like Khimik, which is now being renewed and playing. The meeting against Neftekhimik showed that the black-and-greens are still having difficulty in matches with teams from the First League.
Let us remind you that the control match between Khimik and Sokol will take place on February 22. The meeting is scheduled to start at 16:00 Moscow time.
