On January 12, the players of the Ivanovo “Textilshchik” returned from vacation and began preparing for the start of the spring part of the 2023-2024 season in the “Silver” division of the Second League “A”. The Ivanovo club is currently holding a training camp in Turkey, and before that the red-blacks were based in Novorossiysk, where they were recovering after a long vacation. The coaching staff also worked to strengthen the squad, and during the off-season they recruited two strong goalkeepers to Tekstilshchik. The red-black squad was replenished in December by Alexey Smirnov, and later by Timofey Kashintsev. Many began to talk about an oversupply of goalkeepers, but on February 21 everything became much simpler.

On February 21, the Tekstilshchik press service published news on social networks that goalkeeper Nikita Yavorsky would no longer play for the red-blacks. He was the main goalkeeper of Tekstilshchik throughout the autumn part of the 2023-2024 season and showed stable play, but made a mistake in the away match against Rodina-2, which deprived the red-blacks of their chances of entering the Golden Division. Nikita began training camp with Tekstilshchik, but it seems he realized that he would not be able to compete with more experienced teammates and decided to return to Krylya Sovetov, where he will most likely play for the reserve team.

Let us remind you that Tekstilshchik will play its first official match in 2024 on March 2. The red-blacks will host Dynamo Bryansk at their home arena.
